Magnesium Bath Flakes from Amazing Oils are sourced from Western Australia and are the only organically certified source of magnesium in the world. They are pure Magnesium Chloride flakes, providing 9x the magnesium levels normally found in traditional Epsom Salts. Taking a warm bath in magnesium flakes is an excellent way to improve the body’s ability to absorb magnesium, it is now believed that oral Magnesium supplementation may be destroyed in the gut
Typically 75%* of us are magnesium deficient with symptoms ranging from lack of energy to aches, pains, muscles cramps, headaches and insomnia. According to the official Amazing Oils website, “even depression and anxiety can respond very quickly to a raising of the body’s Magnesium levels, often within a few seconds of application”.
Magnesium is also known to aid in the relief of general skin conditions and is suitable for use in children to help calm them down whilst boosting their immune systems. If there is no bathtub available, you can add a tablespoon into a foot bath to reap the benefits or use the handy roll on magnesium gel or spray on magnesium oil.
Amazing Oils Magnesium products are also suitable for use on children*, and the manufacturer website states “It can help to calm children down as well as boosting their immune systems. We also hear reports that it can quickly stop growing pains.”
During pregnancy*, Amazing Oils recommend only using the spray and bath flakes in the first and second trimester. The brand does not suggest using them during the last trimester simply because it is a relaxant, however many pregnant women have used both safety throughout. Most pregnant women are magnesium deficient. Signs of magnesium deficiency in pregnant women are obviously cramps but also a very hiccupy baby! If using the bath flakes, they recommend 1/4 to 1/2 a cup in a bath 1 to 2 times a week. Please seek guidance from your personal health professional if in any doubt. Amazing Oils also report it is also perfectly safe to use during breastfeeding*.
